I suppose this is what happens when you cross fan art with social commentary. I came up with the idea for this gag illustration after watching “The Amazing Spiderman 2″ on opening weekend, but only just now got around to finishing it. It pretty much summarizes how I felt about the new franchise, the larger Marvel cinematic universe and the realities of binding contracts.
This is cute! I would care more if this related to the older, Tobey Maguire Spiderman instead of the new one. That one was more "adorkable" like I think he was should be. The newer one was too much of a cocky ass for me to like him. As Spiderman, he acted like Ironman without the reason to be.
This is what I hate about the rights. I love Spider-Man; he's my most favorite super hero ever! I also love Disney and I think it's cool that they own Marvel now. And the fact that Spider-Man belongs to Marvel makes it more awesome to combine both! -- But what I REALLY hate is the fact that Disney doesn't own the film rights to Spidey; not even Marvel owns him! Why? Why!? WHY!? -- Is that the Sony logo on the guy's coat?
